Sinisa Mihajlovic was furious together with the referee just after AC Milan’s 12-game unbeaten run ended with a 2-0 loss at Sassuolo on Sunday.
AC Milan head coach Sinisa Mihajlovic declared himself “very angry” with referee Piero Giacomelli and his personal team right after he was sent off throughout Sunday’s 2-0 Serie A loss at Sassuolo.
Objectives from Alfred Duncan and Nicola Sansone ended Milan’s 12-match unbeaten run and Mihajlovic’s misery was compounded when he was dismissed for dissent.
Defeat leaves Milan in sixth place, nine points adrift of Roma, who occupy Serie A’s final Champions League qualification spot, and Mihajlovic could scarcely contain his fury.
“I am quite angry with us and using the referee, but I do not choose to speak about that,” he told Mediaset Premium.
“We dominated the initial half hour, but as usually occurs we failed to turn that stress into a purpose.
“We can not maintain making four or 5 scoring possibilities only to concede the initial shot on target, specially on a corner routine we knew they had been going to make use of.
“Carlos Bacca was meant to come out and close Duncan down, but he did it as well late. He should’ve been on the edge with the box. This happens any time you do not possess the suitable concentration.”
Mihajlovic insisted his dismissal for dissent was undeserved, together with the coach claiming he only swore at the referee just after he had currently been sent towards the stands.
“I complained along with the referee sent me off, so at that point I told him exactly where to go,” the Serbian mentioned.
“But I only swore at him immediately after the dismissal. I asked him how it was doable he hadn’t observed that foul.
“Sassuolo did properly to continue, I normally tell my players to not cease till the referee blows the whistle. I never choose to discuss it.”
